(Edit:) THERE, Standard, Serif, and San-Serif Brave Browser fonts are/were set to Verdana. (Since posting, some testing of Helvetica neue, to see if matching with the font-family reported by Developer Tools, significantly changes appearance.)

They do in an ePub. Font Explorer is definitely not required. The subscription fonts are managed by the Skyfonts app, much in the same way that Typekit fonts are managed by the CC desktop app. That is, you can delete (unsync) fonts, but you have to go to the website to add a type family or individual fonts to your synced set.

Called Helvetica Now, the new family of 48 fonts and three sizes is intended to optimise the original version for use in digital graphic design, and allow more flexibility and improved legibility for branding.

The Ubuntu font family are a set of matching new libre/open fonts. The development is being funded by Canonical on behalf the wider Free Software community and the Ubuntu project. The technical font design work and implementation is being undertaken by Dalton Maag.

I have Helvetica fonts in my system in /usr/share/fonts and they are indeed pcf. But I have locally installed Helvetica font family in /.fonts. Right now, some of popular sites (like GitHub) displays corrupted because some of the glyphs come from /usr pcf font. It is even possible inside one styled block, some of glyphs are ok and some are corrupted.

@Denis Chenu, the setting gfx.e10s.font-list.shared fixes only the part of the problem for me. My final workaround was to remove /usr/share/fonts/X11/*dpi/helv* fonts. To be sure that nothing goes wrong I started with git init in /usr/share/fonts and committing fonts state. This directory does not weight too much, so this is viable backup if I need it again (or you can re-install later from repository; in my system this Helvetica family was a dependency of a base Xorg package).

Supria Sans is a universal type family that includes 36 fonts. Here you will find a curvy italic version for setting up the feminine atmosphere and a sharp oblique version for blending in more conventional and casual interfaces.

Pluto is an expressive font without being distracting. It has some subtle nuances that make it an ideal match for projects oriented to the feminine audience. It helps to establish friendly and cozy atmosphere. In tandem with its companion, the family consists of 64 fonts at all, covering styles for italics and uprights. It can be used for a long copy since it behaves perfectly well in small size thanks to relatively large X-height.

Windows Phone 7 out of the box supports 16 fonts, including those in Core Fonts for the Web plus a few others. If you do not specify font-family, Segoe WP is used by default. However, like Android & iOS, developers can embed their own fonts in their apps if they desire.

But I crossed out the ones that aren't available on all systems. They are usually ordered by family (serif, sans-serif, monospace...), and each system use a default font for each family, usually. On a web page, if you provide a list of fonts to use, the favorite in first, and the family at last, it should be displayed respecting the intend, if a font or one of the family is available. Since you can't do this on a PDF, it'll use whatever default font is available or set, and the result can be different from expected, since text isn't reflowable. 2ff7e9595c
